4th Annual Academy Women Symposium
October 26 - 28, 2007 Women’s Memorial, Arlington, VA
The annual leadership symposium provides the opportunity to network with like-minded colleagues and to grow professionally and personally through keynote messages and panel discussions. Up to 300 current and former women military officers, cadets, midshipmen, guests and affiliates are expected to attend the symposium from around the nation. This symposium is extremely well done, draws top speakers on topics of direct interest to military women in all services. It is an outstanding experience and highly recommended.

WIMSA 10th anniversary
November 1-3, 2007
Held at various locations in Washington D.C. and at the Women’s Memorial, Arlington, VA
Women’s Memorial 10th Anniversary Celebration will take place Thursday, November 1 through Saturday, November 3, 2007. Plans include a gala on the night of November 1. This formal event will be held at the Great Hall of the National Building Museum, an extraordinary place that has been the site for many Presidential Inaugural Balls beginning in 1885. The reunion program will be on Friday, November 2, at the DC Armory. This will be time for fun and camaraderie. The anniversary observance is scheduled for early afternoon Saturday, November 3 at the Memorial. The program is expected to include formal military honors, remarks by former and current military women representing each of the services as well as senior Department of Defense and other government officials. The closing event will be a candlelight march from the Lincoln Memorial to the Women’s Memorial, a favorite event for many attending the dedication celebration 10 years ago. If you are thinking about attending the 10th Anniversary Celebration, please let WIMSA know by e-mailing 10anniv@womensmemorial.org or by calling 703-533-1155 or 800-222-2294 — to help in planning event attendance.
